Learn more about the Safety hub
The PGCC Campus Safety Hub is a dedicated platform designed to keep Prince George’s Community College students, faculty, staff, and visitors safe, informed, and connected.
Our goal is to streamline access to essential emergency contacts, safety escorts, hazard reporting, and tools like the Owl SAFE App ensuring help and information are always just a click away.

KEy Objectives
Centralized Emergency Resources
The hub streamlines access to 24/7 Campus Police dispatch, local emergency lines, and real-time Owl Alert updates. By centralizing emergency protocols and contact numbers in a single location, students, faculty, and staff can quickly find vital instructions during active threats, medical situations, or severe weather events.
Proactive Safety Tools
We empower the campus community by offering direct access to personal safety software and physical support. Visitors can easily download the official Owl SAFE app to utilize features like Friend Walk, request late-night campus security escorts to their vehicles, or view interactive campus maps highlighting emergency blue light locations.
Streamlined Community Reporting
Safety is a shared responsibility, which is why the hub provides clear, accessible pathways to report non-emergencies and campus hazards. Users can submit confidential tips, access official reporting portals like Maxient, or contact the web team directly to report site issues and request resource updates.
